Infiltration: The Plot to Destroy the Church From Within, by Dr. Taylor Marshall

Faithful Catholics have struggled with the actions and teaching of the Pope. Bringing a false idol into St. Mary’s Church near St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Gardens for worship, including the Pope’s participation; false teachings by the Pope, including that hell is not eternal, emphasis of conscience over dogma, strong shifts toward emphases on ecumenism, environmentalism, globalism, and socialism, all moving toward the heresy of modernism; stalling and ceasing the investigation of the Vatican Bank scandal; and ceasing the punishment of known sexually active clergy— all this and much more have taken place during this pontificate. Infiltration traces the movement of papal actions and teaching away from the Gospel and Magisterium back to 1859.

Dr. Marshall was an ordained priest in the Episcopal Church, until he and his wife converted to Catholicism in 2006. He earned a doctorate in philosophy, and is a strong supporter of traditional Catholicism. Bishop Athanasius Schneider wrote the foreword to this book. Marshall has a YouTube channel and frequently posts on news relevant to traditional Catholics. He often refers to writings, remarks, and teaching from Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, an important figure in this book. Traditional Catholicism refers to practices and beliefs prior to the Second Vatican Council, especially the Tridentine or Traditional Latin Mass. Bishop Schneider and Archbishop Vigano are known among traditional Catholics as strong supporters of the Church, faithful to Catholic dogma, the Bible, and Magisterial teaching.

In this book, Marshall makes the case for efforts by Modernists, Marxists, and Freemasons to destroy the Church from within, infiltrating the governance of the Church right to the top to destroy the doctrine, the liturgy, and the mission of the Church. Marshall makes a compelling case, weaving specific actions taken by popes from Pius IX to Francis, the Second Vatican Council, the sex abuse scandals, the Vatican Bank scandal, and warnings from the Blessed Mother at La Salette and Fatima. After providing the evidence in a careful, meticulous way, Marshall ends with a recommendation for how the faithful can proceed to remain faithful to our beloved Church.

I highly recommend Infiltration to all Catholics, and to all Christians who wish to deeply understand what has happened within the Catholic Church in recent times, and what will likely happen in the days to come. Ave Maria!
